So one of my fave producers, Woody, who's done some sick beats for Charles Hamilton, Yung Nate, Show Tufli, B/A (list goes on) has collaborated with an artist that I heard bout through my friend Likkle Miss named Esso. The guys have remixed Michael Jackson's classic Off The Wall album which is set to come out August 10th. Finished way before Mike died, the album isn't taking advantage of his untimely passing but IS taking advantage of his crazy skills!! Knowing Woody's amazing producing powers and being familiar with Esso's music I guarantee this will be some hot shit!!

Tonight I had the privelege of going to a show tonight on the east side of Manhattan held byParle Magazine and featuring artist Yung Nate. Video vixen turned rapper?? ughh

It seems as tho a lot of these video vixens have, as of late, come out and confessed their "love" of rap and their dream since they were a little girl to be a rapper. How they looked up to Queen Latifah, Lauryn Hill and other MC's for inspiration and saw being eye candy in a video a way of breaking into the industry. You know what I say to that "BullShit". Take "Angel Lola Luv Monroe" a very successful video model turned female "Rapper". Her first single entitled "Boss Bitch" is a representation of a lifestyle she probably never lived. And its a very wack song. Many say, as she has, that she is toning down her sexified image in hopes of being taken seriously, Id say its a little too late for that. After the breast/ass implants and your half naked body in 100's of videos/magazines you will never be taken seriously. Sorry, but its the truth. Not to say that female rappers cant dress sexy and make it (ahem, Lil Kim, Foxy Brown) but these women can also rap. Recently Lola Monroe (yes she has taken on the rap name of a dead white woman. smh) came at another female rapper Nicki Minaj over who was next to take the "female rap throne". I had to laugh. I for one like Nicki Minaj, a lot, I think she makes some good, if slightly vulgar, songs and she can write & sing. Yes, she also uses sex to sell and has been accused of copying Lil Kim(whatever) but I still dig her. Lola Monroe is not Nicki Minaj, she is a video vixen trying to rap not a rapper who is a vixen. Im sick of everyone discussing who will be the next female rap superstar and including the names of these video girls. Lola Monroe will not get past the video ho role, to do so she'd have to spit like Jean Grae which she definitely DOES not. I give Nicki Minaj a good chance of being the next female MC to get big, will she leave a huge impact im not sure, but through her affiliations and lyrics she will get bigger than she is. I feel as tho i've went in many directions with this post but they all lead to one point, a female rapper is not simply a video vixen who can rap. While a rapper may have the sex appeal of these "vixens" she is not someone who has gone the root of selling her body (basically) to get ahead in the business. I was just so put off by people calling Lola Monroe the next female rapper when she obviously sucks. Beautiful girl, horrible rapper. Check out the video if you dont believe me...

Jon & Kate Gosselin have filed for divorce!! I am so sad, truly. I have fallen in Love with this family and have watched them grow over the years, so hearing this is a shame. I dont know who is to blame for this, is it Kate's over-bearing ways, is it Jon's rumored infedility or is it the curse of the reality show/ the media. Perhaps, its all three. These three things probably became to much for parents who also had to deal with 8 very young, personalities. Im kind of hoping that they find the Love that they once had, because I dont beleive that they worked hard at finding a solution. This goes back to my previous post where I discussed our lack of work when it comes to relationships. I really cant call what happened with these guys, I can only feel sad for the 10 people affected by it. And on another note, I cant stand "Aunt Beth" and her husband, selling out family like that. Really, they are not good people what so ever!!!!! ugh Im. gonna watch the "Big Announcement" show at 9, with sad eyes the whole time.

Chris Brown will serve NO Jail time for the beatdown!!

So, Chris Brown copped a plea and he will not be serving any jail time. Damn!! I kinda wanted to hear stories of prisoners making the R&B crooner they lil bitch. Womp. Anyways, Chris Brown was ordered to stay clear of Rihanna and her cock-a-too inspired hair within 50 yards. Im guessing his penis will find a way to get past this. Also, he must serve 180 days of community labor, basically the boy gonn' pick up trash and other shit in his small Virginia town w. the un-pronounecable(def made up this word)  name. I doubt that he will actually do this "labor" as im sure he is viewed as a "golden boy". I guess we'll see if Chris can bounce back fully from this scandal. As for his bird of paradise girlfriend, im still over her.

Was doing my daily look through my fave blog sites and saw this on "Bossip.com", new music from Rihanna. I clicked it only because Im not used to hearing about her musically, and I wanted to see if this song was any good. Sadly, it isn't, at least to me anyways. The beat sounds like "Ms. Independent" by Ne-yo and I dont understand what she is saying at all!! After a few listens I realize that she's saying "Te Amo"(which is also the name of the song) however with the way she's singing it sounds a hot mess!! She needs to come better, because people are getting sick of this broad.

I posted yesterday that rap artist Yung Nate was going to be coming out with a solo project, apparently I was mistaken and the news is even better!! The project entitled "Deal with no Deal" is actually a joint project btwn. Nate and B/A!! Im really excited about this because Im a big fan of both of them and when they get together (see "Mr. Polo" from B/A's Highway Music) its pure hotness!! If any of you are familiar with Harlem dances then you may know of people "gettin lite" and you know the song "5000" by DJ webstar, Ron Brows & the swag kidz. One of the "swag kidz" went to my school, his name is Kev Lite (see him at 3:16) now in terms of getting lite he is one of the best. Well he was the best, not anymore. Love needs a time card...

I've never been in love. I've never tasted its sweetness nor have I ever felt its warm embrace. Idk why that is, and I'm not going to use this post to try and answer it. I am going to say that a Loving Relationship is the hardest job one can have. I'm so ashamed that the divorce rate in America is steadily rising and the marriage rate isn't. Are we losing our ability to Love?? Are we so consumed with our daily lives that working on a relationship doesn't register high enough?? My hunnybun Troi and I were discussing her relationship w. a certain guy she's liked/talked to for a Lil over a year and she said "if its meant to be its meant to be". Although I've said that many times, when she texted that to me I had to strongly disagree. See, I like the idea of her and the boy together and knowing her I know she doesn't show how much she cares nor does she work at it, she believes that it'll just be there if its supposed to be there. Well I now know that it wont. Building a relationship takes so much work, work that people don't have time for or aren't willing to do.  Thats why most relationships fail, people think that its just supposed to work if its real love, when really you have to work at it even if its real love. With anything making it better takes practice, dedication, determination. Athletes don't make it to the top based off of the idea "If it meant to be its meant to be", they work hard at the craft. So maybe we should treat relationships/Love like its a professional sport or a even a job. And if you do it right and try your best you will be rewarded like no other. Let's work on Love...

We all heard Hov's joint "DOA" or "death of autotunes" and a couple days ago Trey Songz released "Death of Autotunes Kellz" a diss record aimed at Molester singer R. Kelly. Now we all know Trey is a fan of singing over others beats "If ya beat gets released then ima take it..."-Pop Rose(ft. Drake) and doing a good job at it. This was no exception, first line "this is a farewell/throw him down a stairwell" and the attacks continue from there. Its a beautiful diss song. Really. He even sings some scarily accurate R. Its pretty late and with the late hours comes less & less to watch on tv. Right now, im watching "Oxygen" which is now playing "Talk Sex with Sue Johanson". I remember this show from when I was younger and found it soo interesting, but now I just find it weird. I wonder who thought to gine this old, grandma type woman a show in which she explicitly discusses sex. I wouldnt want to talk to my grandma about sex, so why would I want to talk to her. Id rather a woman whos middle aged and sexy, someone who looks like they still have sex!! Lol. I know that she's very qualified for this, but still...its weird. Well, apparently for new rap star Drake its "hip hop" after a cosign from the big man himself today, Hova(per Hot 97)!! Yea, Hov is riding with Drake, and it looks as if light skin is back in!! Yes!! I was tired of pretending I was attracted to Lil Wayne. lol...i kid i kid. Well in all honesty Drake is the new face of what good hip hop should be. Yea, I think Drake is a good artist. Shit I think the kid's great and he's fucking sick with the rhymes. Peace out Ron Brows, fall back DJ Webstar and all the other "artists" in this game that Jay-Z killed with "DOA". Im not the biggest fan of autotunes but I am a fan of creative people, and MilkMen are just that. This duo consists of an old friend of mine Tyson aka Ty.Philly and his bud Jared aka RED, who blend cool voice effects with catchy lyrics and dope beats. Having teamed up with the Trak Dealaz their first mixtape smartly entitled "Where's the Cereal" is fire and has some great songs. And as much as they have used autotunes the quality of the music isn't lost. This ish sure aint no "Dancing on Me" wackness...lol

New Music: "DOA": Jay-Z

Last night Twitter was going kurazyyy. Why?? Because Hov released a new song (via Hot 97) for his Blueprint 3 album due out on 9/11. Named "DOA" or "Death of Auto tunes"(per Kanye West, who also co-produced, ironic huh), the song was premiered during the Funk Master Flex and Mister Cee radio show and its fire. Of course Funk had to drop a gazillion bombs and talked throughout the playing of it, but the song wasn't overshadowed. 

Simply, Hov talks the decline of the hip hop industry due to these auto tuned rappers that seem to be the trend(webstar, browz, etc.) and he killed them with this teaser. RIP
